My Story:

My story how I did come to Israel:
To Israel I moved from Ukraine with my mom when I was 8.5 years old (August 12, 1993).
It was really hard to leave Ukraine, because there I was born, had good friends (almost boys and
maybe 3-4 girls), school and I knew everyone I wanted. When we came to Israel in city Tiberias, my
dad already was here (since 1991), he was waiting for us in Israel, he just wanted make all the things
in here and everything will be ready when we will come in Israel.
He bought an apartment and everything we needed, so when I came in here everything was ready for us.
When I came to Israel it was very strange place to me, it was a night and I saw only
deserts and was thinking to where did I come? So we did everything in the port and then me and
my mom went into taxi, there I was sleeping a little because I didn't sleep in the plain at all.
So when my dad met me in the morning I already saw beautiful city, then I met my cousins
and my grandmother, I was happy to see them and very shy girl so I didn't talk a lot.
My grandmother gave me a present, it was a big and beautiful doll. Anyway I went to my grandmother and
my cousins, everything was perfect!!!
In Israel was really hard to understand the strange language (Hebrew) I didn't know [maybe I knew only
2 words "Shalom" (hello), "Toda" (thanks), "Lo" (No) and "Ken" (Yes)] and new culture of people
but with the time everything was o.k. I met new friends and I liked them.
When came the time to start school I was afraid, I needed go to the 3rd grade but I went to the 2nd grade.
My parents were thinking that if I'll go to the 2nd grade will be much better to me with the language
and studies. So I went to the 2nd grade and not to the 3rd grade. With the time I already became accustomed with the school and another stuff.
I really liked my childhood in Israel, it was get time for thoughts.
This is my story about how I did come to Israel, a strange little country and my lovely country.
My first day in Israel
